Purple Heart Day – if possible, hold a remembrance in August to honor Purple Heart veterans. Your chaplain could offer a special prayer in the community, maybe at a chamber of commerce meeting or rotary club. (You never know if you can until you ask.) Make a donation to the Purple Heart Foundation or to the VA hospital.
